The vision is to improve educational outcomes that support the World Vision’s aspiration of ‘children are educated for life’ with exploration of relevant practices for fragile states and emerging economies. Some of the areas of focus include: early childhood development integrated with health components; basic education; street children and nonformal education; second chance education; adolescent life skill development; youth centres as safe environments for learning opportunities and increased resilience; curriculum development and improved teacher development; social accountability; and psycho-social approach to educational services for disaster risk reduction.
